The Crossroads
Here, the great eastern road intersects with an older road between the
mines of Moria and the ruined city of Thalos. The outskirts of Seringale
lie to your west, and the highway continues to the east. An old northern
road leads to the dwarven kingdom and the abandoned mines, while the
southern road shows the scars of the war which destroyed Thalos.

The Lane
You are strolling along a pleasant, shady lane. The road is lined on both
sides by tall, stately trees which lend the scene with a sense of quiet
serenity. You can follow the road north or south.

You are standing on the plains. This is a vast desolate place where the wind
can howl undisturbed since nothing but you bars its way. However you are not
the first to wander here. Before you somebody has left a small path. The path
looks rather bewildered and is not the kind of path to lead to anywhere
significant or important but it seems to have made up its mind to enter the
hills far away north.

This is a non descript path which appears to have been made over the
years by those wishing to enter the lands of dwarves from the Eastern road.
To the south you can see the Eastern Road. To the west, you can see a
steeply rising trail.

Base of the Ladder
The trail rises very sharply at this point. Progress appears limited to
a ladder which leans against the side of the cliff. Without the ladder, it
appears one would need wings. To the east, the trail sharply descends to
the Eastern Road.

Windswept Plateau of the Dwarven Mines
A stunning view of the Eastern Road is available to all who stand on this
ledge. The wind buffets even the most solidly built contraption. There is
no cover at all. The top of a ladder peeks up from over the ledge, leading
down into a difficult section of the trail that appears impassible without
the ladder. To the east, you can hear the sound of gurgling water.

Bank of a Swift Stream
A narrow and swift moving stream bisects the path here. Evidence of a
small bridge litters each side of the stream. It is obviously beyond
repair. Walking through the stream appears to be futile as it is very
swift. Across the stream you can see the path continue on the other side,
rising into darkness. To the west the path descends somewhat, towards the
Eastern Road.

broken weapons and armor clutter the hillsides and unmarked graves reside in

A Dusty Road
An old road created long ago runs through the small agricultural village
of Gwidry. The road is paved with small pebbles, weathered by rain and
beaten flat by the traffic of feet over it. As you move outward toward the
edges of the street, grasses and weeds start to overtake it. The grass is
short and colored green and brown.

of the dwarven country side. Signs of the struggle are much fresher here
instead of the graves you saw before now you see the rotting corpses of
dwarves and humaniods alike. To the north you can see a large clearing and
the end of the path. To the south you see the cobble stone path leading
back to civilization.

End of the path
At this point the path has stopped and opened into a large clearing. The
signs of battle are freshest here corpses of half eaten dwarves, orcs, and
kobolds liter the area. A little to north you notice a large mine opening
in it can be seen only darkness. On the mountain side is carved a large
faintly glowing sign. To the south is path leading back to civilization and
away from this horrid place.

The Entrance to the Dwarven Mines
You are in a large cave. The ceiling is lost somewhere above the reach of
your light. The floor, however, is highly illuminated, your light
flickering over several tombstones. Only one is whole, the rest have been
shattered by some savage blow. The remaining tombstone looks disturbingly
new... A small breeze of fresh air enters from the south (probably lost
too). Take a good breath, it may be your last mouthful of air in a long,
long time that others haven't breathed before you. To the north a small
tunnel continues into the mountain.

you sense a freshness in the air which is rather unusual in these damp,

You are walking in a narrow tunnel. The walls are only roughly shaped,
sharp rocks protruding everywhere, even from the floor making you stumble

    I'm just saying the constant barrage of negative feedback and comments are detrimental to the outsiders looking in. Remember that newbies can come here just as easily as veterans, but their intentions are focused more towards learning and not criticism. All the "testosterone" is an extreme deterrent honestly. But whatevs, do whatever you want, I'm not around enough to care.

    Also, I appreciate your comment about making a new character but my allegiance is no longer with this mud so I'll have to politely refuse. Let's just say the grass really is greener on the other side.
