This is a fight been a knight dwarf serker and shaman in the arena. Serkers are strong but they definately have their down sides when they rage and don't have aura.

    if enemy uses a cube or a wave churner use an axe, mace or spear. i suggest dual wielding two strong axes and fight as a warrior. forget you have rage. you rage you die. cos he will flee and undo all your damage. if you rage fails chase quick or flee and run for your life.

    How to increase chances of defeating a shaman..... Have gyvels in inventory, wear saves equipment, dual wield axes, or atleast axe and shield, Flee/murder all the time, trip if the shaman isnt flying. Try saving trip for when they are lower on health, and not expecting it. If you use it too early, they will flee and recite flying scroll.
    It wasnt your vuln that did you in Sireniti, it was because none of the above appeared to have been executed, hence the reason you lost. I
    Note: Thin bladed axe and savage axe are quick and easy to get, and dual wield-able.

    if you tell someone where to find their 100 hp enemy who ran off to hide and recuperate, if you tell someone what spells they're wearing or weapons they're using so a person can preemptively counter these, AND if the victim of "tells", that is the defender in the first instance and/or attacker in the second, can have no physical recourse of killing the person who's giving away their fighting secrets and thus causing them to lose/die, that is outside of range assistance.

    maybe you will care more when Mr level 1 douchebag logs on, follows you to your sleep hiding spot, and tells every rank 50 where you're at.

    Respectfylly Kapruski I disagree. I understand the assistance rule to mean out of range assistance. Ergo, assistance within range is acceptable and it is commonly practiced. Often people of the same range will say ``tell me if you see so and so`` or ``tell me what weapon they are using``. In the case of this log all Paewyn said was aura dropped and try a certain spell. I am not trying to be argumentative but I really don't see how that is wrong.

    aura is dropped, victim relies on the opponent not knowing this, attacker is told by level 1 spy that aura is dropped. victim is then attacked and killed without sanctuary because attacker knew things they could not otherwise know.

    I suppose you also find nothing wrong with posting WHO lists in IRC for people to all log in at once to gank people.

    Not that I agree with K particularly, but you are the one behaving in a silly manner. Are you saying that knowledge and lack of knowledge don't matter in PKing a la sanc drop or not? That might be why you get so abused in pk. Everything is a factor and good players know this.

    HELP ASSISTANCE

    It is not permitted to assist in PKs from outside of the victim's PK
    range. Helping someone before or during a PK out of harm's range is unfair
    to the victim and punishable by the game rules. You may ONLY assist an
    attacked groupmate's escape or survival of a PK attempt upon them. You may
    NOT continue to assist them if they decide to become the hunter.

    Examples of what is allowed:
    -opening a door for an attacked groupmate to flee
    -prolonging an attacked groupmate with heals and armors
    -recalling an attacked groupmate from battle
    -leading an attacked groupmate away from battle
    -helping a newbie from a no-exit trap

    There are few exceptions to this. Should an exception be uncovered, it
    will be added to this list and a change note posted. Don't go ahead and
    use an exception until it has been confirmed here. Ask, don't assume.

    Examples of what is illegal (not exhaustive):
    -spelling up people before they attempt to PK someone out of your range
    -sancing/curing people who are attacking others outside of your PK range
    -closing doors upon people outside of your PK range
    -leading around others to PK people outside of your PK range
    -killing guild guardians to clear a path to people out of your PK range
    -giving equipment/killing mobs for people out of your group range
    -scouting people out of your pk range for others
    -haste groups for leveling when they're out of range

    There are more examples, it is impractical to list them all. Learn what
    you CAN do, and stick with that, and you won't get into any trouble.
    If you are not sure if what you intend to do is legal, ask and WAIT.

    NOTE: soliciting help or equipment from others out of range is ALSO illegal.

    Players that fail to follow these rules are subject to these punishments:

    1st offence - Warnings will be given, along with slays if a death was caused
    2nd offence - At best a slay, most likely you will be subject to deletion
    3rd offence - Siteban


    -scouting people out of your pk range for others

    I repeated the one rule of many that most well correlate to what happened here.

    Also, they nuked paewyn so the imms themselves clearly feel he did a bad. So there you have it really. Imms and other players disagree with you.

    Anyway, enough. (because I can act authoritative and parent-type in the relationship and come off as arrogant too).

    Paewyn stating that his sanc had fallen was definately out of range assistance and should be dealt with in game. To say that this is why the serker died is a stretch. A raged serker has 2 hrs tops until the sanc falls without relaxing and trying again.
