  1. arishel Norstith Vs Dhua -
    The funniest thing about this was afterward. Logged on to find them both sitting in town, and Dhua was wanting to get revenge. Neither would leave town, and Norstith ended up quitting out. Oceralin then was alone, and Dhua left town. Oceralin was put to sleep, but Dhua returned to town. Then Oceralin was invaded on, and when 10 minutes passed came to Darkhaven to "defend". Not too long after Oceralin arrives in Darkhaven, Norstith logs back in.

    Now I believe in coinsidence and whatnot, but when it's clearly OOC it raises the question of how long will this be able to go on? Seriously Norstith/Oceralin, let's grow a pair.

    Actually Arishel, it was about 15-20 minutes that Oceralin never showed up after being invaded on by (someone else) and I was waiting to destroy him. However, he never showed up PERIOD until norstith magically logged back in just in time for oceralin to hit Darkhaven. Even then Oceralin ran all the way back to Seringale and just sat there.

    BTW - You forgot to post the part where you abducted me from inside the cabal (WHICH IS BULLCRAP)

    Dhua has been kinda sloppy lately it seems like. Fighting her back forever ago when she was more active never had a chance. But I almost killed her a couple days ago too(abduct woulda been nice)

    Dhua, you don't really have a right to complain about abduction working in cabal grounds because your confine works within cabal grounds and when you do that you have a special guard to help you out. Just saying.

    I mean, it's hard enough to kill a shaman as it is, let alone one who only needs to word of recall and be more or less safe from everyone. And if anyone does have the balls to finish you off in town, they're signing their own death warrant and full loot.

My mal saves were in the positive which fighting against a necro and a shaman is suicide so I was gaining mal save gear, when I got to darkhaven then norstith logged in not before. After this you both ran to seringale, wrote a note and quite out... Not that this is anyones business to begin with, there is no reason other than you are unhappy with the result of your fight with Norstith, that you would even post like this... Grow up

    Ergorion, you can't use henchmen against PK opponents. Also, confine doesn't work at cabal guardian so there isn't really anything I can do about that when I walk in to defend and Legion are spamming abduct.

    Arragas, I can't believe you are even trying to deny it. I guess if I were in your shoes and I'd had fucked up as bad as you did then I would though. The time frame is not exaggerated at all because I was watching the clock since I wanted to go to bed anyways. I'm not really going to argue with you about it on the logboard since I've submitted notes to Immortals and they are currently reviewing it. You are just lucky I didn't log it. The fact is, I located wyvern, disease and blue steel eq the whole time you were "preparing" and you didn't get one thing. The second you FINALLY showed up in Darkhaven, norstith was sitting at the city hall and you went booking it back out of Darkhaven when I came after you. You ran straight to the sewers and finally got a wyvern eyes and then you sat at south of market square with norstith. EQ and deaths don't matter to me, but dealing with people who can't take what they dish out is really what pisses me off. You've joined in about 3 intrusions with schist, liabp, ygin and norstith but you can't come defend your cabal against two naked people. Sad, just fucking sad.

    Now lastly I wasnt there when the invasios were going on, so I dont know what happened, I just get to go by the two notes. I know that I wasnt gone twenty minutes thats for sure. I logged back in heard Grizit hittig the guardian and recalled to defend instantly. I agree about defending, and I have defended naked before and taken the death on a couple of occasions where I had been killed before and I logged back in to regear. Its part of Cabal life that we just have to get over...

    I didn't ask for anything. Grizit hit the guardian on his own accord and told Dhua about it, so of course I was going to jump on the opportunity to catch the Legion outside of Seringale since he wouldn't leave on his own accord.

    As far as the pit - that is Law 2. I just wasn't sure if I had to be present since it isn't clearly stated in the helpfile, so I wasn't going to risk anything over some eq.

    If I have read the log and all of the ensuing comments correctly, it looks to me that Norstith didn't cheat nor break cabal rules (e.g. not defending) when abducting Dhua and winning the fight. Correct me if I'm wrong. So with that said, I think Norstith deserves major props here. He took the fight to Dhua and made sure he did it to his advantage...we all know you need to fight Dhua on your own terms to be able to win...Norstith did that and was victorious. Taking out the #1 rated PKer deserves kudos, and you have mine here Norstith.

    Out of all the cabal "confine abilities", I've always thought abduct is leaps and bounds better than any other cabal.
    1)Legion. Anywhere, anytime(if contracted. its easy to place a contract though), and the dark rift is like a void. Which is much tougher to avoid attacks. flee/cure, and so on.
    2)Justice. Not a void type place. Done anywhere, only confines you to the area. Can run around, and flee/cure
    3) Knight. Can only be done in a "specific" Area. not a void type place. Enough room to run around, and flee/cure and so on.
    4) Keeper, Well, Nothing.

    I know, both opponents have the same playing field. But, MOST of the time the "confining" abilities are used because te player feels they have the advantage against the opponent.
    Not complaining, just an opinion.

    Nice abduct and kill, Nortith. You took away what a shaman needs most of the time to win. The ability to run around and cure.

    xenyar brings up an interesting point. Legion (if they have the money) can place a contract then go and abduct that person freely anywhere. all of the other cabals can place the flag without a logical reason and even then the other cabals that have skills are not as versatile.

    Same thing though, Justice can confine in ANY area, no matter how small. I have been confined in the area between timaran and graveyard before... three rooms? Thats way smaller then the void. and if Dhua had of just focused on fleeing rather then trying to hysteria me twice, dhua would of gotten away.

    Dhua, my point wasn't about the confine in your own cabal, it was about the justice cabal skill that causes confinement. You can ensnare in the enemies cabal. I played Tipplwise and ensnared and killed Jerol in the castle at least three times. He got pretty pissed about it near the end, and I think rightly so.

    And Norstith, Tipplwise got booted from Justice because he repeatedly fucked up. It wasn't just that he asked a Knight to invade Legion, it was that he also entered their path and attacked Ygin too, all of which happened after several other infractions.

    Xenyar, I would place the Justice confine skill above abduct for the reason that the Justice gets a special guard that does two devestates per round through aura and can initiate combat. If you're able to be ensnared, then you're sure as hell up against a special guard as well. If you're Wanted and in a cabal, then all Justice has to do is invade and ensnare you within cabal grounds.

    In addition, if there are multiple Justices online, all of them with their special guards too can enter the area and help apprehend the criminal. I remember there was one time where I ensnared someone in Seringale and there were three of us all with special guards making the apprehension.

    Yes, ensnare is a powerful skill, and rightfully so. I don't think you should be able to ensnare someone within their own cabal, however. Just like I think you shouldn't be able to abduct someone within their own cabal.

    Abduct is so easily accessible compared to ensnare, as most no one wants to get wanted anymore it seems.

    In my personal opinion, I feel if we're going to throw out flags for three of the four cabals (Contracted-Deathmark-Anathema) then why not give one to justice? It would be easily, do-able as you already have a flag for them really (Outlaw). This is how I think it should work.

    Get rid of the whole Intruder flag, ridiculous amount of hours that you only have to sacrifice 5k to be free of it. You intrude, you become an Outlaw. Plain and simple. You then are open to attacks by anyone in town, and you cannot pay it off, and the only way to get rid of it is to die. Can't use a special guard, or other cabal skills such as ensnare, but the justice has to go after the outlaw in question, just like a legion goes after contracts, keeper goes after deathmark, and knight goes after anathema. I think that this would be a great alternative to the senseless intruder flag, which I feel is pointless to be honest. It's intruding without consequence. Finally if you intrude on any cabal I think you should be marked with the corresponding flag (if that doesn't happen already).

    Anyway, that's my 2 cents..

    Not a bad idea to make the intruder flag more of a big deal. Cause like you said, as it is it's kinda silly. But i don't think your new outlaw flag should take away city protection entirely. It should allow Justice to attack you in the city. But not everyone. If it allows everyone to then Justice becomes broken. In that it is allowing law breaking. It fails to protect and serve as it's designed. It should allow the Justice to attack you, but not everyone.

    There would be many aspects to change if they went that rt, as it is now there is a timer attatched to a wanted flag. I believe paying off intruder goes to justice bank too. Maybe lower the cooldown on intruder, make it more likely that they forget? And then make fines have to be paid in town?

    I just feel that the Intruder flag is a half-ass way of doing a task without having any consequence.

    What do you think about it? I attack the Justice cabal (Which is basically the shrine of all order) and I can just pay off a fine? So you're basically saying, I'm sorry about trying to kill you, but you can rest assured I've payed my fine and won't be doing that again. Oh, wait. You're still contracted/anathema/deathmarked? Guess I'll just keep paying that fine so that I don't get wanted. I mean it lasts like 150 hours or so, so I've got plenty of time and gold.

    Yes, I know the price of the fine gets steeper over periods of time.

    Does that not make any sense to you guys? Honestly, explain why it doesn't if you can, i'd really like to understand why this "seems" pointless.
