    Don't stay in battle against a necro. Flee and murder. Flee and use a purple when he dispels you.

    yeah you stayed in combat when he dispeled you that will get you killed. Flee murder works you could also try to summon him away from his zombies but if he is smart he would just run straight to them but still worth a shot.

    This log looks like the Legion couldn't beat Jaqr to get the skull back, so he enlisted Grizit's help. Either that, or Grizit interfered with cabal warfare. If it was the former (which is my bet) then Corzen should boot Deriic immediately. Shitty move you two. Knighty didn't stand a chance.

    Yep I definitely should have fled instead of trying that strike of faith. Honestly the whole thing happened so fast my screen just looked like a stream of red capital letters, haha.

    For dealing with necromancers my first suggestion would be: don't dual wield. You'll get pwnt hard.

    And as the others said, don't stay in combat against a necromancer.

    Watch your spells. Both your armor and more importantly your protection fell there and protection would have helped a little against those evil charmies though the dispel might have cancelled it along with the rest of your spells.

    Errantry might have helped you out there because it would get rid of the warrior faster leaving you with more health against the necromancer. Against the warrior, definitely try not to eat so many sideswipes.

    Others of you who have played high ranked paladins might want to weigh in on this point, but would a flamestrike be worth it as a chance to blind some of those charmies?

    I didn't ask for or use Grizits help. I was actually sleeping for the apparent three seconds it took to kill Jaqr.
  8. Corzen Jaqr vs Deriic and Grizit -
    Quick comment, Grizit is not one to help any legion period. He killed Jaqr here, I expect because he thought it would be an easy kill as Jaqr was injured. Deriic fled to heal it looks like and Grizit took his opportunityand interfered. He will be dealt with, period.
  9. Shadok Jaqr vs Deriic and Grizit -
    If you'll notice Jaqr was in good shape when Grizit came to fight him (he healed well enough). I don't think the legion asked for Grizit's help, otherwise, wouldn't they have just joined up together? Either way, I agree with flamestrike. It should be used more often against numbers, but make sure you watch for aura being dispelled.
  10. Garek Jaqr vs Deriic and Grizit -
    I've played plenty of high level paladins, erhm, HIGHER level paladins, none were pinnacle, but I got to at least forty.

    Anyway, unless you have mastered flamestrike and have afflictive breaks, I would not use it. Grab a two hander for the set parry against the necro, preferably polearm, or staff for the better parry. Errantry is a must, especially for the first couple hours of frenzy that you get with it, the moves is a bonus and wrath damage is enhanced. So definitely use Errantry. If you are parrying sufficiently against the zombies and you notice weapon ward is down, strike of faith is really nice. Look at what type of weapon the necromance is wearing, typically they wear polearms because of rend life, others it is exotic so they can hold an item, but polearms are generally what they use. Two handed sword would be best so you notice whether your weapon type advantage is overcoming parry attempts, if you see that, that is a go-ahead for strike of faith.

    Against warriors, you'll want to go with either shield or two hander, depends on the situation. But like I said earlier, errantry's enhanced wrath damage and frenzy plus moves is awesome. If you are fast enough to switch between your shield and two hander, you'll likely have free time to get wrath and flee in or murder, flee heal. Divine sacrifice is an excellent spell for quick damage too, i'm not sure how long it lasts with full 500 hp sacrifice at pinnacle, but it is definitely worth it if you know they are coming. Divine sacrifice's 500 hp sacrifice plus errantry is a killer combo.

    You could easily outdamage the necromancer with those two, and if at all possible, try once or twice to summon him into a room with a door, trapping him in if he does not have pass door up.

    Anyway, that's all I can think of.
