A narrow trail
Light filters in through the canopy here, brushing past the trees and
casting long shadows on the ground. This part of the forest is eerie and
very humid. A soft wind floats by gradually and slowly, carrying upon it a
pine scent that is mixed with the burning bark of the oaks here. The
enormous trees that surround you have been etched with small mysterious
symbols. Some strange force is at work here, giving long life to these
surroundings.

The eastern edge of the forest
A steep incline of rock prevents you from moving further eastward. The
rock is unusually smooth, as though it were done by hand. The trees
surrounding you are as immense as the rest of the forest if not larger. As
you look closer, you notice small mysterious symbols etched around the base
of the enormous trees that border along the incline. What life was visible

This is part of a dense forest of ancient oak trees, the boles of which
tower up into the sky to be lost amid the leafy canopy overhead. Slender
beams of sunlight filter down through the leaves onto the dense foliage
which covers the floor of the forest. There is life visible in abundance

Diabolical Clearing
The ancient forest fades away gradually into odd, spiky shrubs and tufts
of browned grass with jagged blades. The flat, bare earth in the center is
peculiar in its unnaturally perfect circumference. The seams in the dry
caked soil seem to form runes that shimmer and wriggle in the strange heat
rising from somewhere deep beneath. Only in the exact middle of the
clearing is the even ground marred, as though something had erupted from the
otherwise lifeless earth.

Lake in the Forest
The festering bogs of the dead moors recede here, as the environment
opens into the outskirts of an ancient oak forest. Soft marshy ground lies
beneath you, a haze of pungent stink escaping from it. An eerie darkness
lies off to the east, the passage to the west through the trees ahead
looking equally uninviting. To go north is to enter into a battlezone while
to go west ventures into the dangerous forest of Thera's renegade clerics.
This area of the forest is occupied by a small lake, filled with dirty

gully, fed by a highly curved hole in the north wall, spewing its water with

Aaneiax, or anyone who knows him tell him sorry he feels this way. I suppose evils get a lot more latitude for roleplay, especially those combos dedicated to causing misery for roleplay reasons in themselves. I guess I can say its good they found out sooner than later they wouldn't like this game, at the same time I wish they would've picked themselves up and dusted themselves off. its just a single death..

This is what puts me off fighting lowbie ranks, either being called trash or possibly making a newbie dislike the game completely when they get stomped. it could also be a form of metagaming, specifically poisoning peoples minds with OOC contextual words to make them not want to play/pk, or feel like a douche or whatnot.

its too bad he didnt know the area better, or know a good pally eq setup, or be fleeing the moment he was summoned/attacked, because he could've escaped or turned the tables very easily. But the kind of knowledge to play the class and flee only comes from fighting.
  1. slade 37 Dsham vs 37Hpal -
Most random, inappropriate hex attempt in the history of AR.
  2. Clifton 37 Dsham vs 37Hpal -
Okay... I'm sorry but, asides from it being a very meh kill, him being pissy that you killed him is absolutely ridiculous. This mentality that absolutely raping someone silly is just dumb. If you didn't want to pk or be pk'ed, don't rank past level 10. What happened to the mentality that if you don't full loot the fucker that just died, he'll come back within the next 5 minutes and rape the shit out of you. I feel like evil/chaotic type players really should be causing as much misery and torment as possible. Otherwise, I don't feel like people are playing their align/ethos properly. (Same reason I don't get evil Heralds). I mean, shouldn't evils be having some sort of end goal in everything that they do? That they don't do things just to be nice, etc.. etc...

Imagine if you come back to your corpse, finding it completely empty, with a white lily next to it, with your murderer being posed as 'with a satisfied smirk on his face.'

    Or...

You're left with some piece of shit goblin armors, and there's a minotaur zerker posed 'stooping low and defecating on an empty corpse.' (ala corpse humping from Halo)

Shit like that would probably piss of the player IRL. Knowing that I'm pissing off IRL after having forced him to waste at least an hour re-equipping makes me smile. If they delete, they just wasted 50-100 hours of their life. It's the best form of sadisms, ever.

... probably why I play a lot more evils than goods.
  3. retard 37 Dsham vs 37Hpal -
Guess he missed the "break character = instant deny" post on the forum.
  4. Piracan 37 Dsham vs 37Hpal -
come now, slade, hex decreases luck by 3! think of the possibilities of his failed flees/cures!
  5. retard 37 Dsham vs 37Hpal -
He is hexing because he already blew his load. He harmed too early, and it would been easy for the paladin to just flee and run off, then quit, since shaman has nothing left to win with. That's what paladins usually do. So the hex is for a going-away present.

Luckily this stupid paladin had spammed in with wrath, rendering himself unable to actually flee at a safe time. I guess you can see from the dialogue afterward that the guy is a dumbass as well.
