    okay the details.

    enhanced damage. its just like enhanced on a warrior. weapon average means a lot more than a few damroll.
    weapon alignment. anti evil gives you a nice boost.
    hes level 50, so hes going to have high base damroll, as it does grow through the levels, especially considering strength is the main stat of paladins meaning they get a 21. your base damroll will probably not be as good.
    then there's heroism and such, and if you happen to find something that grants alignment protection, divine might renders that null.

    ha, forgot he was a half-elf. well that doesnt matter so much, but think about the damage you see warriors at level 50 do. he can get close to that because of enhanced damage and everything mentioned above, and then he still has his spells.

    What's with the crying? Now seriously, two-handed weapons can hit caps on level 1 characters if you hadn't noticed.

    Here, let me spell it out for you, since you're obviously not getting it.

    dual wield = TWO WEAPONS TO ATTACK WITH
    shield block = ONE WEAPON, ONE DEFENCE
    two-handed = ONE WEAPON, 2*ENH. DMG (To fit FAIRLY between dual wield and shield block). SET PARRY (Paladin-only skill making up for NO DODGE)
