Ok, log on and see 4 Knights (1 contracted, 1 vendeta), 1 contracted shaman and a level 50 healer. Ok this is going to be great. Shortly after Vrakkus logs on. Totally coincidental - I don't know who plays him. We fight a bit, Dalinar joins us, fight some more.

I end up dieing, oh well. I unghost later and start gathering equipment with Dalinar - getting ready for another fight. Without warning Vrakkus quits. Oh well, no biggie. I tell Dalinar I am going to depart too. Ask him if he'll be around for surge - he isn't sure.

So he starts saying goodbye and bowing. I decide to let him finish bowing before I quit. He words, I quit. A split second before I quit, Ghorvak entered the galley. This had nothing to do with my decision to quit, the word 'quit' was literally in my comand line before he entered it.

I log on an alt later (because I knew I could have to go afk at any minute) and I get transfered. The immortals slaid Rigwarl for quitting out while Ghorvak was in the galley. That's bullshit.

Didn't even get a chance to defend myself. Oh I did but it looked like this:

Great job Immortals.
  1. Clifton Immortal Bullshit -
If you had time to log on an alt, you had time to get back on rigwarl, eat a death, quit out then log on alt.
  2. gomer Immortal Bullshit -
I agree with clifton, because look at the hp the character you log on had... that character was probably in his low 40's. If you would have created a lowbie I would have agreed with you, but that was pretty bad.
  3. cr8zymage Immortal Bullshit -
it takes 30 minuites to log onto an alt. ronus was waiting all that time. get a life and learn that AR is just a game, retards.
  4. guest Immortal Bullshit -
Ok apparently I forgot to mention the time between logging off Rigwarl and logging on alt. About an hour (45-60 minutes). I didn't know I would get more time on the computer.

As I already stated - when I logged on the alt, I knew I might have to go afk at any moment. Now let me ask you, if you can play AR and you KNOW you might have to go afk at any moment (even in the middle of pk), would you log on your caballed character?

Also the eat a death and quit thing..I already ate a death.

I see how the Immortals required an explenation (although if they were in the room when it happened it was obvious it wasn't a pussy-quit), but to slay me in the middle of letting me try to defend myself?
  5. Jraekior Immortal Bullshit -
Whatever's whatever with this. I just find it funny that the Imms can hop on this but not hop on knights for not following Dav's rules regarding ganging.

To travel with Legion you must be protected, and in the sense of battle Legionairres roll with perhaps up to two evil protecteds for the sake of riding on contracteds (since protecteds can take out contracts) or evening up number battles.

Amirlith for example, has grabbed noliperus, rayor, and elaedon (two neutrals and one goody) to gank legion, but not even bring riley (an actual knight that was present) to the battle and no one seems to think anything wrong with this.

Then an Imm would say "well I haven't seen any complaints" and "show me the facts blah". But you don't need a complaint to take action as I'm sure ghorvak didn't report a complaint for rigwarl "avoiding death".

Then all I hear is "legion is bottomfeeding" and that's simply not true in regards to a whole cabal. Bottomfeeders are the ones that pad their pk records killing lowbies systematically and not staying around long enough not to get jacked up by anyone else. You barely ever ever ever see them on either. Another way you can sort these out is that they show up more after chars in their cabal condie/delete in hopes that they can get up in the ladder.

The ones you see often aren't bottomfeeders because whenever they are on, they are ranking or trying to (usually having to fight beforehand).

The next thing is that people who aren't legion right now only see one aspect of what's going on. Legion aren't ranking as fast because they can only group with each other for the most part. And when Legionairres happen to get around each other, they end up having to fight everyone else and don't get to rank. So, the pinnacled chars attack Legion to stop them from getting to 50 for the sake of gameplay (which is expected and makes sense), but don't turn around and say we aren't ranking because we want to lowbie kill and that we're afraid of certain pinnacled chars (That last part was more directed at Clifton).

I'm sure Clifton would like to discuss this further on the forum (topic would probably be called "perspective" or something), but as I said before it would turn into a flamebait session with the point of the discussion being lost (just like I said for the last discussion that was moved to the forum).
  6. guest Immortal Bullshit -
I just wanted to add one more thing - my fears of having to go afk were realized. I had logged that alt on and as soon as I did I had to go afk, came back to the computer voided. Now imagine if that was Rigwarl standing on the eastern road.

  7. guest Immortal Bullshit -
I find it hilarious that Jraekior is posting that Knights doesn't get punished for ganging with someone from out their cabal, since the Legions were ganging with a non-Legion shaman just today.

If you're looking at abuse of "numbers" as a basis for criticism, Team Canada wins hands down. The IRC guys are easy targets, so they tend to get picked on a bunch, but lets not forget how OOC the rest of the playerbase is. They're far from the worst.

    IRC 1 Canada 0
  8. Noliperus Immortal Bullshit -
    Hey! How dare you! :P

For the record, I had nothing to do with whatever Amirlith, Elaedon, and Rayor did to Legion. I helped Amirlith get his item back when he was outnumbered and I helped him get some eq. Nothing to do with PK. Not so much because I felt it was unfair, but because I suck at pk :P
  9. Gygh Immortal Bullshit -
Don't fuck with the immortals- you don't have any idea what they do, you don't have any idea how anything looks to them. Try to put yourself in their shoes for once. If they make a mistake, it's thiers to make, if they continue to make mistakes Davarius or some other Implementor will look into it. I can guarantee you that any high level commands (such as loading a charecter file as you saw) are logged into a log file on the server (meaning they're not going to get away with just screwing around and they're going to have to justify thier actions).

Bottom line: Just give them a break they do thier work and get crap for it, why not make thier day just a little bit easier?
  10. Hrash Immortal Bullshit -
I'm gonna have to side against the imms. For one thing, there already is a ten minute period between logging on different characters. Obviously that is not enough and now they need to go overboard as to screw a player over. Do I know the whole story? No, but from what I read in this log, I can't really think of many more other situations that would warrant the immortals' conducts.

I don't see your point Gygh. Just give them a break when they so obviously screwed a character? Mistakes are made, but when people can't present their cases, those mistakes CANNOT be remedied.

And loading character files require a high level access.

help cabal conduct. he should be glad he wasn't demoted removed.

okay... Yeah... I also only helped get Amirlith Item back, but then when two other Legion just 'happen' to log on, I wasnt going to just let him sit there and take it. I do not gang people. I was actually about to leave after helping get the item back but when I saw two others come on i knew amirlith would be in trouble. And if I recall correctly it was 3 vs 3... So not like anyone was outnumbered. I hate fighting and I stay away from it as much as possible. I just try to help people and look for something fun to do. As you can ask most people I interact with. I am always asking if they need anything or any help, to just asking "So! What fun thing for us ta do today?"... That is all i have to say about anything regarding me being brought up.
  13. kalist uh -
Yeah, so. About the whole 'respect the immortals thing'. yaeh. I know what they do. Dav does a lot. I know how they roll. It's their mud - they can do what they want. But when they want to fuck me just because they can? That's not cool. I'm not a big fan of rolling over and taking it in the cooch. I'd appeal it in game if I thought there was ANY FUCKING CHANCE AT ALL that it would be looked at/overruled. Since ther eis ZERO chance it would be over ruled, here it is on the forum. I know dav said 'wah there's no complaint in game' before to the other thing, well that's because it's fruitless. NO FUCKING POINT.

anyway I didnt get laid tonight, psyc chick turned me down, ending up passing out on floor. so yeah tonight was fucking wasoem over all.

According to the log he was slain because he quit out to avoid a pk.

When people near your cabal you get a message and he chose to quit at that opportune-looking moment.

He also didnt provide a reasonable explanation other than "I was following Vrakkus's lead" which is out of the question when the cabal is about to be raided.

    Yep.
  15. marsd Knights -
I'm going to help defend the Knights against Jraekior's unwritten, though implied "They should get slain." statement.

About 3 or 4 of the knights go to IRC, and they don't get preferred treatment. I've known 2 knights and another character (To be remained anonymous) who got slain for OOC.

No explanations needed, it's totally their fault. Davairus just said "Get to the quire Knights" and slay 1.knight; slay 2.knight; You know what you did.

So right now after that the Knights have been keeping a check on ooc communication, you would've noticed if you were on enough, that while Knights come on one after another and eventually group up, there has been minimal contact.

It's been noted that a few Knights have quit out just because it looked remotely OOC.

BTW, there have been changes to cabal warfare, and that Knights can group up to PK CABALLED evils. Any one else who groups with Knights are of their OWN FREE WILL, and are not in any way tied down to cabal warefare.

I have been waiting for an interesting post, so here are my thoughts.

As he said, he died once already atleast to outright overpowering odds. He did what some pussies would probably never do, which is sacrifice himself and walk into that sacrificial chamber knowlingly.

Unfortunatly work calls, please don't slay me, I will hit this up later.
  17. Mendek Immortal Bullshit -
AR is a game. Quit when you want. Imms are too attached to it to look at it objectively anymore. Who cares if you quit and a cabal is raided. Big deal.
  18. healer1 Immortal Bullshit -
I have had knights quit on me when I have their cabal item or are in their cabal grounds, shit like that happens.
  19. balaks Immortal Bullshit -
I dont think it would have been a problem normally - i mean if you gotta quit out you gotta quit out, it is only a game and real life takes priority.

However, the problem in this case wasnt really that he quit out, it was that he came back into the game 'relatively' quickly afterwards as a different character - although i completely understand his reason for doing so - it doesnt help his case when the imms see that. Your best bet is - if you gotta quit out, do so and if you cant log on without possibly afking - dont log on. Find something else to do!
  20. hizang Immortal Bullshit -
Its all bs this, imm actions and people turrning this post into something other than it really is. It started talking about one issue getting killed by imms cause he logged out.. whatever. One person makes the mistake of talking about knights then we have all these post responding to that.

Here is the deal, bad timing on the quit but if you have to leave you have to leave, the imms dont know why you quit when you do because you can go OOC and tell them why. What would they have done in the situation, go link dead or just log out... So he logs back on later with another char, that should have no impact on the whole situation since in game the two char have nothing to do with one another. Imms should be happy we are playing more than one char, otherwise there would be like what 30 total char?? I understand getting yelled at for quiting and its his cabal so he makes the rules, but the way he handled the entire sitution was uncalled for. No reason to be a dick and just slay your own members while they are in the middle of saying something.

All this stems from the fact that there is an fundemental problem steming from the fact that we are not in-game 24/7 so we have to quit. Quiting is naturally not an in-game idea but is something that has to be done. (as well as logging in)
  21. Clifton Immortal Bullshit -
No. This goes against help cabal conduct. That's why Rigwarl was slain. It probably would've been fine if he stayed off AR for a longer duration, as if he had to go. But logging back in just after the cabal wait time had warn off seems very coincidental. Anyway, it doesn't seem like anything that hasn't been said will said.
  22. haddion Immortal Bullshit -
I got to side with Rigwarl on this one. Imms should really stop pretending like they're doing some sort of favor by letting us play, because that's honestly what it's come to. They need to remember they owe us at the least decent service for playing their game. They are not without their due credit but they need us MORE then we need them.

Even *sounding* like you're a reasonable person can make the difference at times. Accusing someone of something and then telling them that's what they were planning to do all along when they tell you otherwise is pretty crappy service.
  23. marsd ......... -
I think Balaks said it enough, that he shouldn't have waited out the 30min to come back as another char..

The immortals don't need to explain what they are doing. It's been said often enough that it's all about Appearances, and how things appear to be like.

They aren't pretending to do favours to let you play or whatever, but having to say "they need us MORE than we need them" is understatement. In fact if you're a rule-breaking type, I'm sure they'll not want you at all.

Now lets not go into who wants who, and who needs who. This IS about obvious quitting out when someone is invading.

When someone joins a cabal, he must know that the cabal ground, and cabal item is sacred. No one who is not any part of the cabal can step inside nor touch the item, and it takes precedence to remove ANYONE who breaches such a rule to anything else in game.

So Rigwarl quits out, that's fine. The problem is he came back on as another character right after the multi-char limit wait. Whats up with that?

I think this response is pretty long and it shouldn't go on much longer before it gets locked cus it's getting out of hand.
  24. Baer Immortal Bullshit -
I'm locking this thread after I say a few things:

    1. We need the Imms just as much as they need us.

    2. I'm inclined to agree with the general consensus; That quitting out on your Legion would have been fine...Had you not logged on another high ranked alt when you were able. Yes, Cabal wait tme is 30 minutes, but still.

    3. Uh, I thought I had something else. Guess not.
  25. kalist Immortal Bullshit -
Ok apparently I forgot to mention the time between logging off Rigwarl and logging on alt. About an hour (45-60 minutes). I didn't know I would get more time on the computer.

Did you all miss that or just forget it in your lust to find support for the Immortals' argument?
  26. Clifton Immortal Bullshit -
Unlocking to make something perfectly clear, since it's been stated before.

"They need to remember they owe us at the least decent service for playing their game. They are not without their due credit but they need us MORE then we need them. "

No, they don't. They could close up the game and save the money. Then they could find another hobby. They don't owe us squat. It's like someone giving out a free gourmet meal, they don't owe you a meal, they're providing it.
  27. trance_m Immortal Bullshit -
yeah, it's just a game, so here's what gets me:

if a cabal char has to get slain for leaving when a threat arrives just because he's in a cabal, as opposed to non-cabal characters doing it all the time, that's fine, slay away

but, this has become more ad hominem than just an issue of protocol

Seems pretty convincing that he really did have to leave the first time when Ghorvak entered. Seems convincing he got on later not knowing how long he could stay or if he could play at all once logged in - so he logged an alt

Slay him, fine, the response from the immortal is kind of gross, and others who are treating this like a shady ooc issue or some shit.

  28. DarkFire Immortal Bullshit -
look if he would of stayed off AR for longer than the wait time then he is safe, BUT he didnt so he should be slayed if he didn't know he was gonna get more time and have to go afk then like someone else said don't play AR for awhile
  29. guest Immortal Bullshit -
    He had it coming.
  30. Jraekior Immortal Bullshit -
">I find it hilarious that Jraekior is posting that Knights doesn't get punished for ganging with someone from out their cabal, since the Legions were ganging with a non-Legion shaman just today.

    You guys have it coming.
